EVENTS
CLAY 1A Open Day
12 September | 10.30am–2pm | Drop in
For Heritage Open Days, we are inviting the public to step inside the stripped back building and to participate in some test exhibits designed to get your feedback.
Lost Cargo Hunt
19 September | 10am–2pm | Drop in
Have a peek inside 1A Wherry Quay, the historic grain warehouse we are transforming into a new cultural attraction, and visit some of our neighbours to unearth stories about the maritime history of Ipswich. Complete the treasure hunt and return victorious to CLAY 1A for more activities and family fun.
By combining history, creativity and hands-on engagement, the project will educate, inspire and delight people of all ages and backgrounds.
Andrew Comben,
Chief Executive of Britten Pears Arts, Aldeburgh
The vision for CLAY 1A is wonderfully original. With clay at its heart – a material with so many creative associations from the ancient to the contemporary – there is an opportunity to inspire and engage visitors from all generations.
